There are many aspects to the automotive business, and few people know about them all as well as Pam Wong. That’s because Pam has learned just about every side of this multi-faceted industry while working for Servco Pacific Inc (“Servco”). She began her career at Servco as an Assistant Service Manager, then promoted to a Service Manager, and later selected to join Servco’s Management Associate program. This program has exposed her to all areas of the automotive business and given her a greater respect for the business.
It works like this: those who are selected to enter the program spend time in each of the business units of their area: marketing, service, inventory, parts and sales, which was what appealed most to Pam. “I like the contact with people, dealing directly with the customer,” she says. “At Servco, we maintain a relationship with our customers long after the sale is made.”
Today, Pam is Floor Manager at Servco Auto Windward – Toyota/Chevy/Suzuki, managing a team of Sales Consultants. With Servco for nine years, Pam is one of a number of employees who have taken advantage of Servco’s many programs designed to foster the careers of its people. She even participated in the Servco Educational Assistance program that helped pay for her degree in Business Management.
