Lōkahi: The Ukulele Collective (Lōkahi) is a nonprofit supported by Servco Pacific Inc. (Servco) and Fender Musical Instruments Corporation with a mission to unite passionate individuals from schools, the music industry, nonprofits, and the broader community to transform music education in Hawai‘i.
Servco has been part of the community for over 105 years, and our involvement in the music industry goes back to the 1930s, when we started Easy Music Center in Hawaiʻi. Since then, music has remained an important part of our global business, including our ownership of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
Through Lōkahi, we can continue our commitment to Hawaiʻi and share our vision of empowering Hawaiʻi’s youth. We know that when students have integrated music education into their curriculum it has exponential benefits in their learning. We build technology-enabled, interdisciplinary, culturally relevant music programs. Lōkahi gives all students, no matter their circumstances, access to a high-quality music education rooted in cultural identity.

Ho’olōkahi Lyrics Writing Challenge
To reignite the spirit of music education and foster community through creativity, Lōkahi proudly presents the Ho‘olōkahi Lyrics Writing Challenge, in collaboration with local artist Paula Fuga. This exciting challenge invites teachers and students to learn a new song together, then come together to write an original verse. It’s an opportunity for students to collaborate, express their creativity, and engage deeply with music.
