HONOLULU –
Toyota Hawaii provided the unique opportunity for 24 students in performing arts programs from Nanakuli High and Intermediate School Performing Arts Center and Farrington’s T-Shirt Theatre to experience their first musical at Diamond Head Theatre.

The students were able to take a private behind-the-scenes tour of Diamond Head Theatre’s “Matilda the Musical”. Students were also treated to a private reception hosted by Toyota Hawaii, followed by a viewing of the production.

“We are so honored to be invited by Toyota Hawaii to attend a private viewing of Matilda at Diamond Head Theatre,” said Robin Kitsu, performing arts director of Nanakuli High and Intermediate School. “Many of our students are passionate about the arts but may not have the means to see a performance like this. Toyota Hawaii has provided our students with a special opportunity to see how they could also one day perform in a community production or pursue a career in the performing arts.”

Toyota Hawaii has been a proud Platinum Sponsor of Diamond Head Theatre for the past 15 years.

“We’re proud to support our future generation of artists, and hope that these students were inspired by tonight’s performance,” said Rick Ching, president & COO of Servco Pacific Inc., representing Toyota Hawaii.
