Servco Toyota Honolulu Provides Toyota Tacoma to Aloha Harvest to Aid with Food Rescue

April 2, 2020

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt normal life, there has been an increased amount of unused food and chefs out of work wanting to serve their community. To support Aloha Harvest’s efforts with food rescue and delivery, Servco Toyota Honolulu donated a Toyota Tacoma to the organization. In less than an hour, the Tacoma was delivering food ingredients to Lunalilo Home, a residential, respite, and adult care home for the elderly.

Aloha Harvest has partnered with Pacific Gateway Center and Pili Group, to rescue excess food and deliver prepared meals to those in need. Through this partnership, Aloha Harvest will continue to rescue food and then take it to Pacific Gateway Center where it is processed by a small group of chefs. Those meals will be distributed to community organizations who feed keiki and kupuna.
