Servco Named One of Hawaii’s Best Places to Work for 15th Year in a Row

April 2, 2019

Servco has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Hawaii for the 15th year in a row by Hawaii Business magazine. Only one other company has received the coveted employer award for 15 consecutive years. Servco has also been recognized as one of the Top 3 Healthiest Employers, and Family Friendly Companies.

According to Hawaii Business magazine, “Making the grade to be a Best Place to Work is not easy. This year, only 70 companies and nonprofits in Hawaii made the list. Best Companies Group rigorously vets the companies through a two-step process: a confidential survey of employees and an extensive questionnaire filled out by HR.”

Jennie Okuhara, manager of employee services at Servco Pacific, says the company’s culture is the reason it’s been a Best Place to Work for all of the last 15 years.

“The culture is amazing, it’s very welcoming. Everyone smiles and says hi. It is a family. You hear that term a lot and sometimes you just think, ‘Ah, they just say it.’ But it really is truly the management really takes care of the employees and really does care about the employees – and you can feel it,” Okuhara said.

At Servco, team members in all departments can earn incentives, one of which is a trip to Japan. The company also hosts appreciation events including Bring Your Dog to Work Day and the Team Servco Celebration Dinner. On Family Fun Day the company reserves the 50th State Fair, providing scrips for food and rides to employees and their guests.
