The Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce established the Generational Award in 2005 to recognize local businesses that have made a significant contribution to the growth and development of Hawaii’s business and community sectors over two or more generations of ownership. Servco & the Fukunaga family were honored at the Chamber’s Inauguration and Generational Award on Wednesday, July 17. The award comes as Servco celebrates its 100th Anniversary in 2019.
Past recipients of the award include Iida’s Store, Rober M. Kaya Builders, ABC Stores, Hawktree International, Tony Hawaii Automotive Group, Occidental Underwriters of Hawaii, Y. Hata & Co., Iolani Sportwear, S&M Sakamoto, Standard Capital Group, Aloha Tofu Factory, Conrad Enterprises, M. Harada Enterprises, and Beretania Florist.
